Baku Eurasian University is a private higher education institution located in Baku, Azerbaijan. It was established in 1992 with the aim of providing high-quality education to students in various fields of study. The university offers a broad portfolio of academic programs, including 21 undergraduate, 21 graduate, and 6 postgraduate programs, with a strong emphasis on international cooperation and academic exchange. It aims to provide a diverse learning environment, integrating global standards with regional academic practices.
The university offers programs in various disciplines such as Humanities, International Relations, Information Technology, Economics, Business, Translation (English, French, German, Arabic) and so on. Currently, around 4,500 students are studying at the university. Baku Eurasian University has been included in several international ranking lists (THE, UI Green Metric). The university has obtained membership in international organizations such as EURAS, BSUN and TÜRKÜNİB.
In addition to its teaching mission, the University actively promotes research and scholarly engagement across a range of disciplines. Baku Eurasian University hosts several specialized research centers, including the Arabic Studies Center, the Economic Research Center, the Center for Turkological Studies, and the International Center for Biodiversity and Genomics. These centers conduct research activities and regularly organize academic events, including webinars and trainings.
The University also offers professional development opportunities for researchers and faculty members, such as workshops and masterclasses aimed at strengthening academic writing and publication skills. In addition, many publications by the University’s academic staff have appeared in reputable international peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus and the Web of Science Core Collection.
Baku Eurasian University places strong emphasis on sustainable development and actively integrates sustainability-related themes into its academic and extracurricular agenda. In this context, the University regularly organizes webinars, trainings, and awareness-raising events, including SDG Week initiatives and activities marking international days related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The University’s campus is located in the center of Baku, and it also has a female student dormitory on campus.
Over the years, the University has built partnerships with a range of international universities and institutions, enhancing educational experiences and research opportunities for its students and staff. Baku Eurasian University hosts a diverse international student body, welcoming students from a wide range of countries. In addition, our university has experience in facilitating international mobility for students and staff through various competitive initiatives and fellowships, such as DAAD-supported academic visits, Fulbright programs, the English Language Fellow Program (ELF), and the Orhun Exchange Program.
